as a Creative Director:

“RT challenges his associates to expand their creative and communication boundaries. He specializes in new media and new forms of interactive marketing communication. His creative solutions are striking and thought-provoking. He is a thoughtful and productive member of any marketing team, and a resourceful designer/producer of cutting edge creative solutions.”

“Highly capable, unceasingly creative, tireless finder of valuable insights. RT is plugged-in to consumer culture and understands what connects them to brands and how to keep the connection vital.”

“RT is a man of 1,000 ideas. If one idea dies a horrible, bloody death, RT is always ready with another one of equal brilliance. His conceptual abilities put him up there with the best in the business. Plus, he drives two hours each way to and from work, giving him time to ruminate on insights and brush up on indie rock.”

“Out-of-the-box thinking is what you get every time with RT Herwig. A great visualizer and wordsmith who is totally plugged into new media trends and “One Show” ideation, the guy can even direct. If you are looking to creatively challenge the status quo, get RT and prepare to be surprised. There isn’t a conventional bone in his body. Few people have the ability to contribute in the creative process on so many levels. Art Director, Film Director, Creative Director.  The guy they invented white boards for…. Get RT and prepare to take lots of notes!”

“Although RT failed the audition for Blue Man Group, he excels in every other creative thing he’s taken a whack at. A guy who doesn’t sleep until the job’s done (or at all for that matter) and never delivers less than top drawer work. He took the time to fully understand every situation and then asked a million questions just to make sure he covered every possible angle.”

“RT really gets it. He’s culturally connected to not only what’s happening now but what’s about to happen later. RT never stops thinking, asking, wondering and exploring to uncover the nub in order to solve the problem at hand.”

“RT is absolutely one of the most innovative, creative thinkers with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working.”

“RT has always been a creative inspiration to me. Beyond a wicked sense of humor, he is a talented CD who challenges a team to push the limits. When you think you’ve nailed it down, he’ll push you to the next level intellectually and visually. Above all, a great person who is willing to help anyone with ANY creative endeavor. He is a true artist for sure”

as a Director:

“I come across many talented directors with a sharp understanding and passion for films, filmmaking and acting. However, it is the rare talent who is able to develop a multi-dimensional grasp of the process and showcase it in his work. RT Herwig is one such rare director. Mr. Herwig handled the task of bringing a thought provoking and very atmospheric piece of cinema to an audience, and he delivered with THE GOOD THIEF. In an assured, well-crafted and stylized manner, his debut artfully and effectively deals with the questions of guilt and forgiveness from the internal POV of the lead character. THE GOOD THIEF shows the beginnings of a gifted storyteller with a firm grasp on his work; even more telling is that he directed, produced, co-wrote and edited the piece. With this work, Mr. Herwig has successfully proved himself and demonstrated that he could manage a budget, a union cast and crew, and deliver a successful feature film on time and within budget.” - Bob Zmuda, Executive Producer, MAN ON THE MOON and the founder of COMIC RELIEF

“As a director, RT Herwig paints the human condition with rare authenticity, drawing from a psychological palette of rich visual concepts, narrative mood, actors’ performances and a spark of delicious mystery.”

“R.T Herwig’s debut feature film THE GOOD THIEF is a stunning testament to independent filmmaking. Mr. Herwig’s film is a haunting and very atmospheric piece of cinema, wherein darkness rules not only the streets, but also the hearts of the people living within the shadows. This terrifically, well-crafted film  features excellent performances by its cast, a very effective score and beautiful cinematography.” - Philadelphia Film Festival

“RT Herwig’s direction of THE GOOD THIEF is far more interesting than most mainstream films. The camera angles are tilted more often than they are straight, which effectively conveys the subjectivity of the main character’s mind, while also keeping the audience more detached. The film is made up almost entirely of long shots, both in terms of camera distance and the time between edits (one memorable shot is of a breakfast, shot through the spindles of a railing, with two spindles visually keeping the three diners separate, and all done in one very long take.” - San Jose Film

“…Mr. Herwig is a filmmaker that will be heard from again and again.”
